Pham Thi Yen promoted
On her personal page, former volleyball player Pham Thi Yen posted a photo of herself in military uniform on a special occasion. She shared: "A very special day full of joy. Happy founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Congratulations to me."
Recently, Pham Thi Yen and her teammate - coach Thu Ngoc received the decision to promote to the rank of professional military colonel.
This is a personal honor for Pham Thi Yen and also a recognition of the efforts and contributions of the former player born in 1985.
Coach Thu Ngoc once commented about Pham Thi Yen: "An exemplary soldier, athlete, and coach".
Pham Thi Yen is one of the faces of the golden generation of Vietnamese women's volleyball, at the same time as Kim Hue, Ngoc Hoa... After retiring, she is working in the coaching staff of the women's volleyball team of the Information Corps.
Thanh Thuy returns to practice
"Our team has returned to professional training. Thanh Thuy, who just returned from Indonesia, was present at the team on New Year's Day and trained with her teammates. Above all, the team created the best conditions for Thanh Thuy to practice and prepare herself professionally.
VTV Binh Dien Long An currently has the most complete team of athletes. We will soon move to the North to participate in the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025 in early March. In this tournament, the team will prioritize creating conditions for some young athletes to compete to improve their skills," said coach Thai Quang Lai of VTV Binh Dien Long An club.
This week, Thanh Thuy will work with the management unit of VTV Binh Dien Long An team to discuss personal professional plans.
It is known that after grasping the professional plans of this hitter, the coaching staff of the Western team will prepare the force towards the goal of competing in the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

Chu Thi Ngoc grew up playing for the Information Corps, then joined Kinh Bac Bac Ninh to play in the A-League. She decided to retire at the end of 2023. After retiring from volleyball, this former player focused on studying and turned to business.
