In early 2025, Thanh Thuy continued to go to Indonesia to play for Gresik Petrokimia club. In the same situation, opposite Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen - another expectation of Vietnamese women's volleyball - has not been able to go abroad for the same reason.
According to analysis from experts, Bich Tuyen is a talented setter, capable of playing offensively not inferior to foreign players in the first phase of the 2025 national championship. However, it is likely that the player born in 2000 still has weaknesses in his ability to support defense, catch first strides and block the ball.
Meanwhile, in the volleyball tournament in the land of kimchi, most clubs require a good setter to perfect the above skills, also taking on the role of setter. Therefore, the Vinh Long athlete was at a disadvantage and could not receive a nod from the teams in Korea.
Currently, Vietnamese women's volleyball is lacking foreign players. At this time, Thanh Thuy is focusing with VTV Binh Dien Long An to prepare for the Asian Women's Club Cup.
Compared to Bich Thuy and Bich Tuyen, Thanh Thuy still has more international experience, especially during her time competing in Japan.
