Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club announces the second foreign player

Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club officially announced the second foreign player for the AFC Women's Champions League 2024-2025 campaign (commonly known as the Asian Women's Cup C1).

The rookie of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club is American striker Sabrina Marie Cabrera born in 2001.

Although it has been announced, Sabrina is still unable to be present in Vietnam because it is completing international visa and transit procedures (ITC). However, she is rushing to prepare everything to be able to join her teammates as soon as possible.

Sabrina Cabrera is 1m75 tall, a product of the US school football system. She is expected to take on the role of a striker in the HCMC women's club squad, replacing Meghan Root, who left the team after the group stage.

With the ability to operate independently and comprehensively attack, Sabrina is considered a promising " detonator" in the team's attack, along with Huynh Nhu and Tuyet Ngan to form a strong attacking trio in the upcoming quarter-final match.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club welcomed the first foreign player, American center back Aubrey Goodwillsin (born in 1998), who is 1m77 tall. Both foreign players have signed short-term contracts and their future will depend on their performance as well as the team's achievements in the Asian tournament.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City women's club is still looking for an alternative to the midfielder position after the sudden withdrawal of an overseas Vietnamese player due to personal reasons.

Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will continue to maintain training and coaching to prepare for the match against Abu Dhabi Country (UAE) on March 22. The team aims to win a ticket to the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 Asian Women's Cup C1.
