The appearance of Quang Hai and Ngoc Quang, along with the change of positions of overseas Vietnamese players - Cao Pendant Quang Vinh, are the latest updates on the squad for the team.

In order to ensure safety against an opponent with many big changes like Malaysia, Mr. Kim Sang-sik prioritizes defensive play. The air war and mass dispute situations were continuously practiced by the Vietnam National Team during the training session on June 8.

The appearance of Cao Pendant Quang Vinh somewhat brought Mr. Kim more peace of mind. The speed, endurance and versatility of the former French U18 captain help the Vietnamese team be flexible with the squad and tactical plan against Malaysia.

Another overseas Vietnamese player, goalkeeper Nguyen Filip, is also in good form. The goalkeeper born in 1992 has shown stability in the past training sessions, with the support of goalkeeper coach Lee Won-jae. This is the basis for the Vietnamese team to be more confident against attacks from naturalized players on the Malaysian side.
