"Our special guests (with the Vietnamese flag symbol)," the Kuzeyboru club's homepage shared. Notably, the post was posted in public mode by the European women's volleyball team.
According to the shared image, 13 Vietnamese fans (including children) wearing red flag shirts with yellow stars came to the field to cheer for striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and the Kuzeyboru team in the opening match of the 2024-2025 Turkish National Volleyball Championship against Aydin B.Sehir.
Below the comments, many Vietnamese fans sent their thanks for the affection that the European team has for the fans as well as wished Thanh Thuy and the whole team will have many good results this season.
Talking to Lao Dong, Ms. Thuy Hien - a fan who was present at the stadium said: "We are families from the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey, about 240km from the stadium. When we arrived at the stadium, the organizers waived the entrance fee. Before the match, they also played Vietnamese music as a warm welcome to Thanh Thuy's special fans. After the match, our families stayed to meet and give Thanh Thuy gifts before leaving."
In the last match, Kuzeyboru won easily 3-0 against Aydin B.Sehir. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has not been used by coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu for a single minute.
Although she has not yet played in the first match in the new shirt, with her outstanding height of 1m93, Thanh Thuy promises to be a "trump card" of Kuzeyboru in the upcoming matches.
