On September 17, 2024, expert Park Chung-gun sent an email with the content "Thank you very much for your compliments about what I have done with the Vietnamese shooting team. Thank you for supporting me during my time working in Vietnam.
However, I would like to inform you that I cannot continue as the coach of the Vietnam shooting team because personal matters are my biggest concern at the moment. Therefore, I apologize for not being able to attend the meeting on September 24, 2024 as scheduled."
On September 23, 2024, the Department of Sports and Physical Training replied to an email to expert Park Chung-gun: "We highly appreciate your contributions to the achievements that Vietnamese shooting has achieved. The Department of Sports and Physical Training looks forward to meeting you in the near future. We plan to hold a ceremony to honor you in Hanoi for your contributions to Vietnamese sports." Mr. Park Chung-gun was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Decision No. 296/QD-CTN)," the press release of the Department of Sports and Physical Training stated.
The Department of Sports and Physical Training always recognizes and highly appreciates the contributions of expert Park Chung-gun to the national shooting team during his 10 years working in Vietnam.
