In the match between Chichester City and wingate & Finchley in the Isthmian League Premier Division last weekend, Vigar hit a concrete wall while trying to control the ball.
The collision caused him to fall into a coma and require emergency surgery. Despite medical intervention, the serious injury prevented him from surviving.
Vigar's family said that after surgery, he showed signs of recovery but suffered serious brain damage, causing unsuccessful treatment efforts.
