At noon on December 7, the Vietnamese sports delegation arrived in Bangkok (Thailand), officially starting the journey to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

After more than 2 hours of travel from Hanoi, the plane carrying the convoy landed at Suvarnabhumi airport. The welcoming work was arranged by the Organizing Committee of the host country in priority lanes for delegations attending the Congress, helping the entry procedures to take place quickly. Members are also activated with SEA Games cards, important documents to use in competition, training and accommodation areas.

The excitement was clearly demonstrated in the athlete team and coaching staff right from the first minutes of arriving in Bangkok. The group was quickly moved to a place of residence according to the arrangement of the Organizing Committee to stabilize their activities and implement the final preparation stage before entering the competition.

According to the plan, the flag-raising ceremony of the Vietnamese sports delegation in Bangkok will take place on the afternoon of December 8 at the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium. The second flag-raising ceremony, for the Chonburi competition team, is scheduled to take place on December 11 at Wyndham Jomtien. These are activities that mark Vietnam's official presence at the Games, and at the same time demonstrate the spirit of sports solidarity between 11 countries in the region.

The 33rd SEA Games is considered a Games of great significance to Vietnamese sports. The delegation had more than 1,100 members, including 842 athletes, aiming to compete in 47/66 events and compete for achievements in 443 sets of medals. The careful preparation from the domestic team and the determination clearly shown at the Departure Ceremony before the departure date are giving the players more motivation.

The first activities in Thailand took place smoothly, creating a positive premise for the Vietnamese sports delegation to enter the official competition stage with a focused spirit and high determination.
