According to Lao Dong, Dong Nai club is in the process of transferring to Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc. The final decision will be made next week.
Accordingly, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc club is proposing to change its name to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai and will accept about 7-8 members of the current Dong Nai football club.
After completing the transfer, Dong Nai club may compete in the Third Division (a tournament in the non-professional system of Vietnamese football).
The proposal to change the name is only part of the comprehensive restructuring plan of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc club. After 2 impressive seasons in the National First Division (winning the bronze medal in the 2023-2024 season and the silver medal in the 2024-2025 season), the team is aiming to participate in the V.League as soon as possible.
Truong Tuoi Group, the team's management unit, worked with the leaders of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to present the development orientation in the new period. One of the key proposals is to upgrade Dong Nai Stadium and use it as the official home stadium from next season. At the same time, the club also hopes to keep Binh Phuoc Stadium as a center for training and educating young players.
Regarding the current situation of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc club, the team has just announced a new head coach, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, along with the addition of former player Nguyen Quang Hai to the coaching staff as an assistant. The Binh Phuoc squad currently has many experienced players such as Cong Phuong, Minh Vuong, Xuan Truong and Le Van Son, ... creating a solid foundation to realize the ambition of promotion in the next season.
