The coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's beach handball team has returned to training.
In this gathering, 16 players are participating in professional preparation including Nguyen Nhu Hoang Yen, Vo Be Tu, Ha Thi Hanh, Dam Thi Thanh Huyen, Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet, Tran Hai Yen, Pham Thi Loan, Nguyen Thi Nhung, Nguyen Thi Tra My, Pham Thi My Hang, Tran Thi Hong Ngoc, Saly Ha, Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung, Lu Ngoc Trinh, Thach Thi Bich Thuan, Hua Ai My. The team is training in Mui Ne.
From June 23 to June 28, the Vietnamese women's beach handball team will participate in the 2026 World Championship. This year, 16 of the best teams in the world will participate.
The World Federation of Handball has drawn 4 groups for the beach handball event at the tournament.
The Vietnamese women's beach handball team entered Group A with Germany, the Netherlands and Uruguay. Group B has Spain, Croatia, Cook Islands, Puerto Rico.
Group C includes Norway, Greece, Brazil, USA. Group D includes Argentina, Denmark, Philippines, Benin. In which, the German team is the reigning world champion.
Last April, the Vietnamese women's beach handball team won a gold medal at the 2026 Asian Beach Games. This is the 5th time the Vietnamese beach handball team has won a ticket to the World Championships.
