On the afternoon of December 9, the Vietnam Journalists Association (VGV) coordinated with relevant agencies to hold a press conference on the 18th VGV Club Table Tennis Cup Championship in 2025.
The tournament is organized by the NBVN Association in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, and will take place from December 19 to 21, 2025 at Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium 12 (Hanoi), with the participation of nearly 200 athletes from press agencies across the country.
This is the last major activity in the series of events celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

According to Mr. Phan Toan Thang - Chief of Office of the Vietnam Association NBVN, the tournament is organized with 14 competition events including:
Men's teammates (regardless of age), Women's teammates (regardless of age), Men's singles from 45 years old and above, Men's singles under 45 years old, Women's singles over 45 years old, Women's singles under 45 years old, Men's doubles leading, Women's doubles leading, Men's doubles (regardless of age), Women's doubles (regardless of age), Men's doubles women's doubles over 45 years old, Men's doubles women's doubles under 45 years old, Men's doubles with leaders (regardless of age), Women's doubles with leaders (regardless of age).
The Organizing Committee also stipulates: table tennis athletes at the National Grandmaster and Grandmaster level I level from 2019 onwards are allowed to participate in team events and compete in doubles; not allowed to compete singles. National table tennis players at the Korean and Korean level I level have not been allowed to compete since 2019.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the NBVN Association - said: The number of athletes participating in this year's tournament is larger than last year, with nearly 200 athletes from 40 delegations. This shows the attraction of the tournament.
"The tournament is exclusively for journalists, so I hope that journalists and press agencies will promote the spirit of vengeance, honesty and nobility. Let's work together towards a clean tournament, minimizing violations of the regulations, preserving the prestige and value of the tournament" - Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi said.
Informing about some regulations related to the tournament, Mr. To Duc Hoa - Head of the Referee Team - noted that the Organizing Committee will ban athletes from competing with athletes using substandard rackets such as Super Block, Magic 66, 77, Kasfu, Sagiga round-head.
The Lao Dong Newspaper delegation has 5 athletes competing in 5 events including: men's doubles over 45, men's singles over 45, women's singles under 45, mixed doubles under 45 years old and women's doubles.
