After two matches, the 2025 World Volleyball Championship has determined almost all of the teams that have qualified for the knockout round.
Groups E, F, G, H competed in the second match on August 25 in Thailand. In Group E, Turkey solidified their top spot with a 3-0 win over Bulgaria to secure a place in the next round. The remaining gold in this group belonged to the Canadian team after a 3-2 victory over Spain. In the final round, Group E has two more matches Turkey - Canada, Bulgaria - Spain to determine the final ranking of each team.
In Group F, the Chinese team won 3-1 (25/16, 23/25, 25/14, 25/16) against Colombia to get six points after two matches, qualifying for the next round. In this group, Dominica beat Mexico 3-0. China and Dominican Republic are leading the group with absolute wins.
The situation in Group G also collapsed when the two teams Poland and Germany won all two matches to get a place in the group of 16 best teams. The Vietnam women's volleyball team is temporarily at the bottom of this group. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will meet the Kenyan team on August 27 to determine the final ranking.
In Group H, the Japanese and Serbian women's teams are competing for the top spot despite having secured a place in the next round. Serbia beat Cameroon 3-0 while Japan beat Ukraine 3-2. The two teams will play each other on August 27 while Cameroon and Ukraine will compete to determine their rankings.
The 2025 World Volleyball Championship will not organize a qualifying round for the losing teams after the group stage. The 16 best teams qualified for the next round. The remaining 16 teams returned home. The knockout round will take place on August 29, 30, and 31.
