In addition, coach Kim Sang-sik also gave many young faces of the U20 team the opportunity such as Nguyen Cong Phuong, Nguyen Gia Bao, Nguyen Bao Long, Quach Quang Huy, Trinh Long Vu, Mai Quoc Tu, Nguyen Manh Hung, Nguyen Quoc Khanh, goalkeeper Cao Van Binh, Pham Dinh Hai.
Regarding the coaching staff, in addition to fellow countrymen such as Choi Won-kwon, Nam Gung-do, Yoon Dong-hun, coach Kim Sang-sik will also have valuable support from experienced Vietnamese assistants in training such as Dinh Hong Vinh, Phan Nhu Thuat and goalkeeper coach Tran Minh Quang.

According to the plan, after the end of the first training period in 2024, the group of U19 and U20 players will move to a joint training session to practice with the Vietnam U20 team, preparing for the 2025 U20 Asian qualifiers.
The Vietnam U22 team will continue to have another training session at the end of August 2024. In this training session, the team will gather with a force mainly of U21 players to participate in the international U21 friendly football tournament organized by the Chinese Football Association, taking place from October 2 to September 10, 2024 in Changsha city with the participation of teams from Vietnam, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and host China.
