At the 2024 national championship, My Tien won the gold medal with a time of 13 seconds, just 0.03 seconds behind the national record. Goal of protecting achievements at the 33rd SEA Games

2 years ago, Huynh Thi My Tien made a big mark when she won the gold medal in the women's 100m hurdles at the 32nd SEA Games (Cambodia) with a time of 13 seconds and 50. This is My Tien's first gold medal in this playground as well as an important turning point in her career.

Looking forward to the 33rd SEA Games taking place in Thailand at the end of this year, My Tien's task is to defend the championship. This is also an important goal for the Vietnamese athletics team this year.

Therefore, during the final stage, My Tien and coach Nguyen Van Loi increased their training intensity to 2 sessions/day, in the morning from 7:30 and in the afternoon from 15:00.

My Tien's biggest opponent at the 33rd SEA Games is athletes from Thailand, especially the Indonesian runner - Dina Aulia. Experts predict that the race for gold medals will be very fierce.

"My goal at the 33rd SEA Games is to be in the group with medals. Currently, opponent Indonesia is developing very quickly, they will be the biggest challenge", My Tien said.
