The top 3 teams in the rankings in the second phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship all took the field.
Border Guard won 3-1 against Lavie Long An with the score of 21-15, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23. Despite losing unexpectedly in the first set, the army team made an excellent comeback to win all 3 points. That was only the 4th set loss for Border Guard since the beginning of the season.
In the second match, The Cong Tan Cang easily defeated Da Nang with a score of 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-19). They and Border Guard are the two teams that have lost the fewest sets in the tournament (4).
In the latest match, Sanest Khanh Hoa defeated the bottom team XSKT Vinh Long with a score of 3-1 (25-14, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23). As the weakest team with only 1 point, Vinh Long showed commendable spirit in the last 2 sets.
They surprised Sanest Khanh Hoa and had to play with all their might to finish the match after set 4. It was quite unfortunate that Vinh Long did not have any more points and this result will put them at a big disadvantage in the race to stay in the national championship.
