In the second match at the B category, fighter Huỳnh Ngọc Tín set a new record for the fastest victory in LION Championship history by defeating Phan Ngọc Tuyết Dũng. Starting from a high kick that left Tuyết Dũng dazed, Ngọc Tín rushed in with 2 punches that forced the referee to stop the match at the 13th second.

In the meantime, the highlight of LC16 was the match between 2 fighters Phan Thanh Tùng and Phạm Ngọc Cảnh at the 56kg men's category. This match put an end to the controversies in recent times.
In their first meeting at LION Championship 12, Ngọc Cảnh threw an illegal punch when both fighters were on the ground, resulting in the match not being recorded as a result (No Contest). This decision sparked controversy as the two fighters were unable to determine the winner.
Entering the main match, Ngọc Cảnh performed a series of punches to maintain a distance, but Thanh Tùng quickly closed in. Although he made a great effort to control his opponent, allowing the representative of Võ đường Liên Phong to maintain the first minute, Thanh Tùng quickly put Ngọc Cảnh in a chokehold, switched to a wrist lock to end the match at 2 minutes and 2 seconds in the first round.

Runner-up of the 2022 season Nguyễn Vũ Quỳnh Hoa continued her winning streak by facing her old opponent Hồ Thị Ngọc Bích. Her efforts to control her opponent once again helped Quỳnh Hoa win the match.
After this victory, Quỳnh Hoa made a request to compete for the title with the current champion Nguyễn Thị Thanh Trúc at the 52kg women's category. In the 2022 final, Thanh Trúc won against Quỳnh Hoa with a chokehold in controversy over the early intervention of the referee.

The results at LC16 promise to bring many exciting developments for the weight categories as the fighters gradually gain a high position on the ranking table.
The tournament will continue with the event LION Championship 17 in Hanoi on September 7.
