Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation, Dr. Vu Duc Thinh, said that although it was only introduced to Vietnam at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2009, with the attention of leaders at all levels, localities and the support of the people, the Kickboxing movement has developed widely throughout the country.
Vietnam Interior Chairman Tran Anh Cuong emphasized: "The common point for Vietnam Interior to connect with Vietnam Kickboxing is that both have the same vision: Affirming one's own value to reach out to all five continents. Vietnam Interior is a company specializing in design consulting, architectural construction, furniture production, which may sound unrelated to Kickboxing, but we always want to bring traditional cultural values of Vietnam closer to domestic and international consumers.
For example, we will bring traditional culture and martial spirit of Vietnamese people into interior products and promote them to the international market. Kickboxing Vietnam also has the same mission of promoting the martial spirit of Vietnamese people to the world.
As a sport chosen by many people to practice to improve health, physical strength and train a strong spirit to face all challenges, we believe that in the near future, the Kickboxing movement will develop widely across the country and we will have many champions in international arenas. Ms. Le Thi Nga - Vice President of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation informed that up to now, 40 localities across the country have developed the Kickboxing movement; many localities have trained young teams to have a succession of forces to prepare for major tournaments. "For the Kickboxing movement to develop further, the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation really needs the cooperation of sponsors such as Vietnam Interior. Hopefully in the coming time, the Federation will attract more social resources to develop Vietnam Kickboxing".
The signing ceremony between the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation and Vietnam Interior is one of the activities within the framework of the National Kickboxing Championship and the Gala celebrating the 15th anniversary of Kickboxing's introduction to Vietnam. The program was organized by the Department of Physical Training and Sports, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province in coordination with the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation on the evening of September 6, in Pleiku.
Speaking at the 15th Anniversary of Kickboxing's introduction to Vietnam, President of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation Vu Duc Thinh emphasized that the event was organized to mark a milestone in the development of Vietnamese Kickboxing. At the same time, it acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the contributions of agencies, organizations and individuals to the establishment and development of the Kickboxing movement in Vietnam over the past 15 years.
After 15 years of introduction, the Kickboxing movement has now spread throughout the country, with over 40 provinces and cities developing this sport. Although the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation was only established last January, it has coordinated to organize many tournaments and events to develop the Kickboxing movement nationwide.
Kickboxing is a martial art that combines hand and foot strikes, introduced to Vietnam in 2009 when it was included in the competition system of the Asian Indoor Games and Asian Martial Arts. Currently, Kickboxing is developing strongly in provinces and cities in the country, especially Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Gia Lai...
Currently, Kickboxing has been included in the annual national tournament system in the high-performance sports competition schedule of the Department of Physical Education and Sports. In international arenas, Vietnamese Kickboxing has achieved many achievements. Most recently at the 31st SEA Games, Vietnamese Kickboxing won the overall title with 5 gold medals; at the 32nd SEA Games, we won 4 gold medals.
In addition to competition to bring achievements, Kickboxing is also a useful sport activity that helps people practice to improve their health, physical training, willpower, endurance and bravery.
