Asian Volleyball Confederation announces competition schedule for 2026

The Asian Volleyball Confederation has announced the official tournaments to be held in 2026.

On November 29, the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) announced the domestic schedule for 2026.

Accordingly, the AVC Champions League for women (for clubs) will kick off in April 2026. The AVC Champions League for men will take place in May 2026

In June 2026, the AVC Nations Cup for women will be held, while the men's event will be held in July 2026. The Vietnam women's volleyball team is the reigning AVC Nations Cup champion. In July 2026, the 2026 U18 Men's and Women's Asian Championship will take place.

In August 2026, the Asian Volleyball Confederation will host the Women's Championship. The men's championship will take place in September 2026. In September 2026, the 20th ASIAD volleyball tournament will take place in Japan.

According to the forecast, Vietnamese volleyball will continue to be busy competing in 2026.

In 2025, we have representatives participating in the AVC Champions League for men and women. VTV Binh Dien Long An team won the AVC Champions League 2025 runner-up position. The Vietnam men's volleyball team participated in the AVC Champions League 2025 but was unsuccessful.

It is expected that the plan to participate in the 20th ASIAD will be developed by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Vietnam Volleyball Federation for the men's and women's teams in the coming time.

In 2023, the Vietnam women's volleyball team won 4th place at the Asian Championship and 4th place at the 19th ASIAD held in Hangzhou (China).
