Tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh brought confidence to the Vietnam Badminton Team with her first victory at the 33rd SEA Games.

Nguyen Thuy Linh started the women's singles match in the women's team match between Vietnam and Malaysia in the 33rd SEA Games badminton event on the morning of December 7.

Nguyen Thuy Linh's opponent in the first match was Karupathevan Letshanaa. In the first game, the Vietnamese player let the opponent pass with a score of 21-15. In the second game, Thuy Linh calmed down and played effectively, then won 21-10 to bring the match back to balance.

In the third game, Thuy Linh played effectively to overcome Karupathevan Letshanaa with a close score of 23-21. Thuy Linh's victory helped the Vietnamese women's badminton team temporarily lead the Malaysian team 1-0 after the first women's singles match.

The players who will compete according to the registration are Nguyen Thuy Linh (first singles match), Vu Thi Trang (second singles match), Pham Thi Dieu Ly/Pham Thi Khanh (3rd women's doubles match), Bui Bich Phuong (women's singles match No. 4) and Nguyen Thuy Linh/Vu Thi Trang (women's doubles match No. 5).

The final result will be calculated based on the total performance of each match between the players of the two teams.
