After the first singles victory in the quarter-finals of the 33rd SEA Games women's team, Nguyen Thuy Linh said she was at a disadvantage in some matches due to the referee's handling.
"I felt a bit frustrated because of some situations at the beginning of set 3, when the Malaysian athlete and I chased each point one by one. The ball made me unhappy with the situation where the ball went out, people thought the ball just went out a little, but in fact it went out quite a lot. If there is a 'challenge' (complaint) today, I will just do it", Thuy Linh shared.

The tennis player born in 1997 added: "In today's match, there were 3 balls that the main referee did not deny, 2 opponents hit out but were caught and 1 ball I was not sure I would hit in. I think it is 50:50 but the referee did not deny it. In my opinion, many referees today are a bit favored towards the opponent".
Thuy Linh's opponent in this match is tennis player Karupathevan Letshanaa. In the opening match, the Vietnamese representative was defeated by the opponent with a score of 21-15.
In the second game, Thuy Linh played more calmly and won by a margin of 2110. In the decisive match, she continued to be brave to overcome Karupathevan Letshanaa with a close score of 23-21.
Thuy Linh's victory helped Vietnamese women's badminton temporarily take the lead. But Vu Thi Trang's loss caused the Vietnamese and Malaysian teams to draw 1-1 after two singles matches in the quarter-finals of the women's team event.
After Thuy Linh and Vu Thi Trang, the next players on the field are Pham Thi Dieu Ly/Pham Thi Khanh (3rd women's doubles match), Bui Bich Phuong (4th women's singles match) and Nguyen Thuy Linh/Vu Thi Trang (5th women's doubles match). The final result will be calculated based on the total score of each match between the players of the two teams.
