The organizing committee of the 2025 National Weightlifting Championship informed the participants about random doping tests. This year's tournament started on August 21 at Tien Son Sports Palace (Da Nang), attracting 180 athletes from 23 units.
Officers of the Vietnam Center for Sports Medicine and Doping took doping test samples for athletes at the tournament. However, the number of samples taken is kept confidential and information security is confidential. The Thai Organizing Committee announced the weightlifting competition including 60kg, 65kg, 71kg, 79kg, 88kg, 94kg and over 94kg (men) and 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 77kg and over 77kg (women). The 2025 National Weightlifting Championship will bring the above contents into competition so that Vietnamese athletes can get acquainted with the 33rd SEA Games.
At the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia, the Vietnam Weightlifting Team won four gold medals, one silver medal, and three bronze medals.
