The 34th SEA Games will host 38 events in 2027

The Malaysia Organizing Committee of the 34th SEA Games has announced the program for the Games in 2027.

According to the latest announcement from host Malaysia, the 34th SEA Games will take place in September 2027. The tournament will compete in 4 cities including Sarawak, Penang, Johor, Kuala Lumpur.

Sports proposed by Malaysia for the 34th SEA Games include: Water sports (swing, billiards, water badminton, artistic swimming), iron badminton, squash, taekwondo, tennis, wushu, cloud billiards &snooker, weightlifting, basketball, bowling, lawn bowls, E-sports (edesports), physical exercise ( physical exercise, aerobics, physical education), golf, cricket, archery, shooting, muay, judo, boxing, table tennis, floor football, badminton, badminton, bicycle, volleyball, badminton, badminton, badminton, badminton, badminton, sports horse racing, hockey, karate, boxing, ice skating, athletics, athletics, pencak silat, volleyball and water surfing.

The expected competition time for the 34th SEA Games is from September 18 to September 29, 2027. However, the specific contents of the 38 sports are still discussed before making final decisions.

The Southeast Asian Sports Federation has awarded the 34th SEA Games to Malaysia. Next, the 35th SEA Games will take place in Singapore.

The last time Malaysia hosted the Southeast Asian Games was the 29th SEA Games in 2017 in Kuala Lumpur. At that time, the Congress also only competed in 38 sports.

Southeast Asian countries are in Thailand to compete in the 33rd SEA Games from December 9 to December 20. According to the plan at the Closing Ceremony, host Thailand of the 33rd SEA Games will hand over the Southeast Asian Sports Federation flag to host Malaysia of the 34th SEA Games.
