Improving rankings
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team finished 4th in the Shanghai Future Stars 2025 international friendly tournament.
Although there are still many regrets, compared to last year's achievements, Vietnam has made progress. At Shanghai Future Star 2024, the Vietnam women's volleyball team was led by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and ranked 5th overall.
In this year's tournament, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has left 7 pillars to stay in the country to continue training, and at the same time, let assistant coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa lead the players to compete in China.
In the matches of the tournament, coach Ngoc Hoa continuously rotated the squad, creating conditions for the players to play and gain experience.
One of the bright spots of the Vietnamese women's team in the recent tournament was their blocking skills. Bich Thuy, showed stability and had important points when approaching the opponent's attack.
Meanwhile, the attackers have also improved significantly compared to the VTV Cup 2025. When sending Nguyen Thi Phuong onto the field, the team leader of the Information Corps team made great efforts and had an impressive scoring efficiency. In addition, attackers such as Nguyen Thi Uyen, Kieu Trinh and Pham Thi Hien also took advantage of every opportunity to show themselves.
However, against young players in teams such as the U21 Netherlands, U21 Shanghai... the Vietnamese women's volleyball team still appeared confused and exposed many weaknesses such as first step, defense in the back, gap in the middle.... for the opponent to exploit.
The above positive aspects and weaknesses will certainly be of interest to the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, thereby drawing experience for the next tournaments.

Preparing for SEA V.League
After the end of the Shanghai Future Stars 2025, coach Ngoc Hoa and her students will return to Vietnam, gathering with players such as Bich Tuyen, Thanh Thuy... The whole team will have enough players to prepare for the SEA V.League 2025 under the leadership of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet.
