On the afternoon of December 7, the final round of the 2025 Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup National 7-a-side Football Cup (VSC-S5) ended with the championship belonging to Thien Khoi FC after a dramatic final match against Dai Tu FC.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan - General Director of VietFootball Company thanked the accompanying of the teams, the audience and the sponsor: "I would like to thank the two teams Thien Khoi FC, Dai Tu and the audience. The top final match is proof of the tournament's good success. Over the past 2 months, the tournament has received support from agencies, sponsors, audiences, and participating teams. See you all again in the tournaments in 2026.
The final match between Dai Tu and Thien Khoi FC took place in accordance with the nature of the championship competition. The two teams were familiar with each other's playing style, so they proactively increased the tempo from the start. The shots of Tien Dat, Hoang Hiep and consecutive opportunities made the game more exciting. The first half witnessed a fierce attack, in which Dai Tu somewhat controlled better.
In the second half, the match became more tense. In the 51st minute, Thien Khoi FC took the lead thanks to Anh Khoi's goal. Dai Tu quickly responded with a coordination situation between Phan Thai and Minh Quang, bringing the match back to balance. In the remaining time, both teams created many opportunities but could not score more goals, forcing the match into extra time.
Here, Thien Khoi FC once again took the lead after a combination between Anh Son, Hong Kong and Claudecir. However, Dai Tu continued to prove his mettle when Hoang Duc scored the equalizer 2-2 in the 84th minute. In the penalty shootout, Thien Khoi FC won 5-4, thereby winning the championship.
In the third-place match, An Bien created a big advantage when leading 4-0 but Thep Viet Thang made an impressive comeback to equalize 4-4 before winning 5-4 on the 11m mark, ending the tournament in third place.
