Highly appreciating the training spirit of the athletes
On the afternoon of November 12, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL) Hoang Dao Cuong inspected the training work of national teams preparing for the 33rd SEA Games at the National High-level Athletes' Training Center.
At the beginning, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong worked with the pencak silat team. According to the report, the whole team consists of 12 athletes (8 men's, 2 women's) competing in 10 mixed weight categories and 2 weight categories. Currently, all athletes are in good physical condition, only Nguyen Duy Tuyen is suffering from a minor injury and is being closely monitored by the medical team.

Duy Tuyen is the current champion of the 85kg weight class at the 29, 31 and 32 SEA Games, aiming to successfully defend her title. Head coach Nguyen Van Hung said that his injury is not too serious and he can compete in the upcoming SEA Games.
The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the team's training spirit and emphasized that in the pencak silat sport, Vietnam's biggest opponent is still Indonesia. However, competing on a neutral field in Thailand can help Vietnamese athletes shorten the achievement gap.

He suggested that the coaching staff in the next 20 days need to have a good, scientific lesson plan, pay attention to analyzing Duy Tuyen's injury situation, ensuring that her career is not affected, not at all costs of competition but to make her injury worse.
In Duy Tuyen's case, the Deputy Minister expressed his hope that he will compete well, continue to maintain his form and become an example for the young athlete to follow.
Next, the Deputy Minister inspected the training work of the cloud golf team. He expressed his satisfaction with the serious and methodical preparation of the coaches and athletes.
According to the coaching staff, the main opponent of the Vietnamese team is still the Thai team. The Deputy Minister suggested that the team prepare different personnel plans and competition tactics, and at the same time let the athletes practice and respond gently to possible situations.
In athletics, this year's team has had a strong rejuvenation with athletes trained in the past two years, standing out in the 100m and 4x100m relay events.

Coach Vu Ngoc Loi said: Over the past 2 years, young players have been thoroughly trained and shown steady development. Currently, the 100m and 4x100m teams are in the pre-competition stage. During the close period and the preparation period, the coaching staff will adjust the intensity accordingly. Although it is the first time attending the Congress, the young athletes are in good shape and determined to achieve the highest results".
Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong suggested that the coaching staff continue to complete the lesson plan to closely follow reality, carefully analyze the parameters of opponents, choose reasonable personnel and pay more attention to nutrition, living and health.
He shared: In less than a month, we will live in the atmosphere of the SEA Games. I am very happy that the athletics team has rejuvenated with the generation of athletes who have been training for a long time and showed good development. Hopefully this year you will achieve good results, contributing to the overall achievements of the whole group".
When inspecting the shooting sport, the Deputy Minister acknowledged the team's efforts in simulating the training space like the actual competition at the SEA Games, helping shooters get acquainted and achieve the highest performance. The Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Administration has coordinated with military and police units to ensure equipment and ammunition, in which each key athlete is equipped with 3 separate guns.
The Deputy Minister emphasized: With the achievements we have achieved in recent times, the SEA Games are no longer a major barrier. I suggest that the coaching staff pay more attention to the characteristics of each shooter to adjust, thereby achieving good results at the SEA Games and being a springboard to aim for the ASIAD next year".

Ensuring the regime for teams preparing to participate in the 33rd SEA Games
At the end of the session, the Deputy Minister visited the Vietnam Karate team, which is gathering with 30 athletes, expected to participate in 12 events (10 kumite and 2 kata). Currently, Vietnam is in the group of three strongest countries along with Thailand and Malaysia, aiming to win 3-4 gold medals.
Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong sent the message: "The coaching staff needs to have solutions to continuously train young athletes. The targets set for the national team are not only for the department but also contribute to the overall achievements of the team. There is not much time left, I hope the whole team will continue to focus on practicing and achieving the best results. We will always monitor closely to promptly encourage the whole team.
The inspection by Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong has encouraged the spirit of national teams, adding determination for all athletes and coaches to aim for the 33rd SEA Games with the goal of achieving high results, affirming the position of Vietnamese sports in the regional arena.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong has also requested the National High-level Athletes' Training Center (Hanoi) to ensure facilities along with nutritional regimens and medicines for national sports teams during the professional preparation process.
