At noon on February 13, Trinh Thu Vinh participated in the women's 10m individual air pistol final at the 2025 Asian Shooting Cup. The Vietnamese player ranked first in the qualifying round, so expectations were high.
Thu Vinh had the highest score in the first round, but then could not maintain her form in the next three rounds. She was surpassed by her two opponents Nurul Syasya Nadiah Binti Mohd Arifin (Malaysia) and Cheng Yen-Ching (Taiwan, China).
Nurul, despite finishing 6th in the qualifying round, put in a strong performance to win the gold medal. Cheng Yen-Ching won the silver medal and Thu Vinh won the bronze medal.

In the men's 10m air pistol individual event, Pham Quang Huy also won a bronze medal. This is the event in which Quang Huy won a gold medal at the 2023 ASIAD, but he also did not perform consistently despite a good start.
The athlete who won the gold medal in this event was Rim Ryu Song (North Korea), the silver medal belonged to Valeriy Rakhimzhan (Kazakhstan).

After 2 days of competition, the Vietnamese shooting team is ranked second on the rankings with 1 gold medal (10m mixed air pistol), 1 silver medal (men's team) and 2 bronze medals. Leading is the North Korean shooting team with 3 gold medals.
