Striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has returned to Vietnam after playing in Türkiye for a while. She attended the 20th anniversary celebration of the VTV Binh Dien Long An women's volleyball team - where she has been since childhood.
Currently, Thanh Thuy has fully recovered from her injury and is ready for bigger plans in the future. During a meeting with the leaders of Binh Dien Long An Limited Liability Company (the unit managing the VTV Binh Dien Long An women's volleyball team), Thanh Thuy expressed her desire to continue playing abroad.
The team's leadership pledged to find a solution to reconcile the interests of all parties. Speaking to Lao Dong, a member of the team's leadership shared: "The future of Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has not been decided yet. Everything is still unclear, everything is still in the process of being worked on.
We know Thanh Thuy's wishes and are negotiating to find the best solution, ensuring personal interests as well as the club's."
According to Lao Dong's investigation, Thanh Thuy is unlikely to return to play for PFU BlueCats. This Japanese club has just signed a cooperation agreement with VTV Binh Dien Long An and is where Thanh Thuy used to play.
However, Thanh Thuy's next destination is likely to be a professional football team in Indonesia. According to the leader of VTV Binh Dien Long An, Thanh Thuy's future will be clear in early 2025.

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, born in 1997, 1.93m tall, is an excellent striker of Vietnam women's volleyball and VTV Binh Dien Long An club. She is the most outstanding athlete of Vietnam in the past decade.
Over the past time, the home team VTV Binh Dien Long An has created conditions for Thanh Thuy to play abroad. This main striker has played for the Attack Line club of Taiwan (China), Denso Airybees and PFU BlueCast (Japan) and Kuzeyboru of Türkiye.
Also related to VTV Binh Dien Long An, they recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Japanese team PFU BlueCast, further strengthening the strong relationship between the two sides.
“The cooperation between the two sides will have many activities, but the specific implementation will not be shared until early 2025, when the two sides work together. Because the cooperation between VTV Binh Dien Long An and PFU BlueCast is not only about supporting training, practice, and exchanging athletes, but also involves economic issues,” a leader (name withheld) of VTV Binh Dien Long An shared.
Regarding the future of young athlete Tra My, who just won the 2024 national championship with her team, he said that her going abroad is still just a possibility. Everything will gradually become clear after the team gathers again in early December 2024 and the work between the relevant parties.
