After ending his contract with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), assistant Lee Jung-soo officially parted ways with the coaching staff of the national team and U23 Vietnam.

The decision was made based on the personal plan of the Korean coach in the next stage.

Lee Jung-soo joined the coaching staff of Vietnamese national teams from March 2025 at the proposal of head coach Kim Sang-sik. During his working time, he participated in supporting professional work, preparing forces and accompanying the national team as well as U23 Vietnam at many important tournaments such as SEA Games 33, the 2026 AFC U23 Championship and the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

According to VFF's assessment, assistant Lee Jung-soo always shows a high sense of responsibility, professional working style and effective coordination with the coaching staff in the process of organizing training and competition. His contributions are considered part of efforts to improve the professional quality of national teams in the force transfer and preparation for long-term goals.

Before coming to Vietnam to work, Lee Jung-soo was a Korean national team player, participating in many major tournaments at the continental and world levels. After retiring, he switched to coaching, accumulating experience through many different environments, and used to hold the role of assistant coach at Ho Chi Minh City Club, Suwon FC and Dongguk University.

VFF acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of assistant Lee Jung-soo in the past time, and sent thanks and wished him continued success in his upcoming career plans.
