The main member of the Vietnam Sports Delegation (including the Head of the Delegation) will leave for the 33rd SEA Games on December 7. According to the plan, Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Delegations and staff, medical team... will travel from Hanoi to Bangkok (Thailand).
This 33rd SEA Games, host Thailand will not organize the Athletes' Village.
Participating sports delegations will be arranged to stay in each hotel area. National sports teams also stay at the Organizing Committee's hotel.
After arriving in Thailand, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation will participate in the programs of the Congress. In particular, the Flag-raising ceremony for sports delegations is expected to be held before the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games.
The Vietnamese sports delegation was established to participate in the 33rd SEA Games with 1,165 members. In addition to the members who are union officials and the team of coaches, athletes, experts, and medical staff, the leaders of the delegation include 1 Head of the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, and 3 Deputy Heads of the delegation, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh, Le Thanh Ha, and Nguyen Ngoc Long.
This year, many members of the Vietnam national sports team will focus on traveling to Thailand on December 7, 8, and 9 to match the official competition schedule.
Currently, the Vietnam Sports Delegation has chosen player Tran Thi Thanh Thuy (volleyball) and Le Minh Thuan (karate) as the flag bearers at the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games. Thanh Thuy and the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team will go to Thailand on December 8. It is expected that the Vietnam Karate Team will also leave for Thailand on the same day.
On December 2, in addition to the Vietnam Women's Football Team, the Vietnam Men's School Cycling Team (including 5 cranes) went to Thailand. School bicycles are scheduled to compete on December 14. However, the players were able to arrive early at the competition location to get acquainted with the track and practice appropriate tactics.
