The Vietnamese archery team has just finished competing in the 2025 Asian Championship in Bangladesh on November 14 to return home to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.
At this tournament, Vietnam's top players such as Le Quoc Phong and Do Thi Anh Nguyet did not win any medals. In addition to them, other players are also absent from the scoring list in the individual and team events for men's and women's singles and doubles.
The Vietnamese archery team will arrive in Vietnam on November 15. From now until going to Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games, all key players will practice in Vietnam to improve their skills and be ready to enter the important competition.
According to Lao Dong's research, the Vietnam Archery Team was tasked with winning 2 gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games. This year, host Thailand organized 10 events for archery, including 1 individual and team competition and 3 individual and team competition for men and women. 2 mixed male and female events were also held.
The coaching staff of the Vietnam Archery Team plans to send 2 athletes who participated in the 2024 Olympics, Do Thi Anh Nguyet and Le Quoc Phong, to the squad for the 33rd SEA Games.
Archery will not be held at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia. At the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam, Vietnamese archery won 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.
