32 teams (including Vietnam) have registered for the 2025 World Volleyball Championship Organizing Committee.
Because player Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen withdrew at the last minute, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team became the only team with 13 players participating in this year's tournament. The remaining 31 teams have 14 players participating.
The 2025 World Volleyball Championship Regulations stipulate that each team is allowed to register a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 14.
The way the team registers 14 players will comply with the following regulations: 12 players, 2 libero. The team that registered 13 players will comply with the following regulations: 11 players and 2 libero.
When present in Thailand, the Organizing Committee will arrange a training session according to the schedule with a time of 3 hours/session.
Notably, the 2025 World Volleyball Championship will not host the qualifying round after the group stage. 32 participating teams were drawn into eight groups (each group has four teams).
The teams will compete in a round-robin to select the two best teams to the next round of 16 teams to compete in the knockout round. Teams that do not have a place in this round will be eliminated.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team is in Group G with Poland, Germany and Kenya. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said: European teams compete with superior expertise.
We predict that the Vietnamese players will have difficulty against Poland and Germany. The Kenyan team also has its own preparation. The team will maintain the best spirit to compete in each match of the tournament".
The Vietnam women's volleyball team arrived in Thailand on the morning of August 20. The members boarded a flight to Bangkok (Thailand) and then transferred to Phuket. It is expected that in the early afternoon of the same day, our member will be present in Phuket (Thailand).
