Pre-match information
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face Expressway Club (Korea) in the semi-finals of the VTV Cup 2024 international women's volleyball tournament .
Previously, in the quarterfinals, both teams won 3-0 against King Whale (Taiwan - China) and Henan (China). If Expressway had an easy win, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team went through 3 sets with close scores.
In the group stage a few days ago, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team defeated Expressway with a score of 3-2. This was the match in which Bich Tuyen and her teammates had an impressive comeback against the representative from the land of kimchi. Therefore, the opponent has a reason to "repay the debt" against the home team in the upcoming semi-final match.
Expressway has a team of quality foreign players, and domestic players with good skills, notably Kang So-hwi - the number 1 striker of the Korean women's volleyball team. However, this athlete's injury in the previous match will more or less affect the team's playing style.
In addition, Expressway's squad also includes foreign player Merelin Nikolova (Bulgaria). Although only 21 years old, Nikolova is 1m83 tall, left-handed, and has strengths in powerful attacking serves and fast attacks.
On the other side of the front line, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is playing better and better. Significant improvements in the first step help the team launch better attacks and diversify their tactics. Especially, Bich Tuyen is maintaining her high performance and is an important explosive force, scoring many points for the home team.
Besides, Nguyet Anh, Nhu Quynh, Khanh Dang, Nguyen Trinh also played steadily, creating a cohesive and effective team.
The support of thousands of spectators at Ninh Binh Stadium is a great source of encouragement for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to strive and contribute.
