Vietnam women's team completes final training session before the match against the Philippines

The Vietnam women's team has completed the final training session in Banbueng, ready for the opening match against the Philippines at the 33rd SEA Games.

On the afternoon of December 8, the Vietnam women's team completed the final training session at Banbueng Stadium, preparing for the confrontation with the Philippines women's team at 6:30 p.m. on the same day at Chonburi Stadium, within the framework of the 33rd SEA Games women's football tournament.

The session took place in a serious and focused atmosphere. The coaching staff continues to review tactics, especially focusing on coordination, ability to compete and cover the lines to deal with the Philippines' strong-leading playing style. Players are required to maintain high intensity and cohesion in each situation, aiming to optimize ball control and limit the opponent's bullets.

Before the training session, defender Tran Thi Thu shared quickly about the preparation of the whole team. She said: "The coaching staff and players are very well prepared, the whole team is determined to win against the Philippines". When asked if she was worried about the opponent's superior physique, Thu affirmed that she had a lot of experience in major tournaments and had participated in the World Cup, so she was not affected psychologically. She added that this was not a factor that made her or her teammates afraid.

Regarding the absence of central defender Chuong Thi Kieu, Tran Thi Thu said that the defensive system has been adjusted appropriately. She emphasized that the defenders always support each other well and Kieu's absence does not create too much pressure. Thu also highly appreciated the efforts of the young players, saying that they have improved significantly and are receiving high expectations from the coaching staff in this year's tournament.

Evaluating the opponent, Thu commented: "The Philippines can have a big and strong body. The coaching staff has prepared the physical strength of the whole team. In terms of technique and tactics, the coaching staff also issued a suitable diagram and practiced very carefully to prepare for the match."

The match against the Philippines is considered an important turning point in the journey of the Vietnam women's team at the 33rd SEA Games. The whole team is showing great determination towards a positive result on the opening day.
