Because the temperature outside tends to drop quite quickly in the afternoon and evening, coach Kim Sang-sik decided to move the team's practice schedule up about 45 minutes from the original plan. When the team started the practice, the temperature was only about 13-14 degrees Celsius and quite pleasant thanks to the light sunshine.
The team’s training ground is located 15 minutes away from the hotel by bus. Under the cold weather of the Korean winter, the grass on the training ground cannot maintain its green color. However, the quality of the field is still guaranteed for the Vietnamese team to carry out tactical exercises.
Also in this afternoon's training session, the new goalkeeper coach of the Vietnamese team, Mr. Lee Won-jae, officially joined the team. Mr. Lee Won-jae is known as a former Korean football star, who played for the Korean team for 18 years, played 132 international matches, was named to the K.League's best team 10 times, and won many outstanding individual awards. He also made history by participating in 4 World Cups in 1994, 2002, 2006, and 2010.
At the first working session with the goalkeepers of the Vietnamese team, goalkeeper coach Lee Won-jae showed meticulousness and set high requirements in the training sessions. Hopefully, with his extensive experience and class, Mr. Lee Won-jae will contribute to creating solid shields in front of the goal for the Vietnamese team.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will maintain training with a frequency of 2 sessions per day, in which 3 practice matches will take place on November 27 (against Ulsan Citizen FC), November 29 (against Daegu FC) and December 1 (against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC).
Coach Kim Sang-sik attaches special importance to the team's training session this time. He often reminds his players to give their utmost concentration and show the highest determination.
