On the morning of April 9 (local time), VFF President - Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan had an online meeting to encourage the spirit of the U17 Vietnam team before the match with U17 UAE in the final match of the group stage of the 2025 U17 Asian Cup.
During the conversation, President Tran Quoc Tuan praised the resilient fighting spirit and impressive results of coach Cristiano Roland and his team after two matches, forcing two strong opponents, U17 Australia and U17 Japan, to share points.
The VFF President highly appreciated the efforts of the entire team and encouraged the players to continue to maintain their confidence, promote their individual abilities and comply with the tactical discipline set by the coaching staff.

Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized the importance of the match with U17 UAE, considering this a decisive "final" match leading to a ticket to the quarter-finals as well as the opportunity to participate in the 2025 U17 World Cup finals.
"If the whole team plays with determination, adheres to the tactics and wins, it will not only be a miracle for the first time that Vietnamese youth football has participated in the U17 World Cup finals, but also opens up a promising development future for the players," affirmed the VFF President.
In addition to encouragement, President Tran Quoc Tuan also emphasized that VFF always accompanies, closely follows and creates all favorable conditions for the U17 Vietnam team to prepare and compete best.
On behalf of the whole team, Head of the National Assembly, Head of the Head of Cristiano Roland and captain Le Huy Viet Anh expressed his thanks to the VFF President, and affirmed that the team was in a high concentration state, continuing to determine that "Vietnamese spirit" on the pitch, overcome the final challenge in the group stage to gain the right to go to the quarterfinals.

According to the plan, on the afternoon of April 9, the U17 Vietnam team will have a training session in Taif city to complete the tactical pieces to prepare for the match with U17 UAE.
Before the training session, the whole team visit King Fahd Stadium - where the upcoming match will take place. This is the first time U17 Vietnam has competed in this field, so the tour will help the players have a good feeling about the pitch and the space.
The match between U17 Vietnam and U17 UAE will take place at 22:00 tomorrow (April 10) Vietnam time.
