Based on related documents, VFF affirmed: "Between the competition registration documents of SLNA Club and the verification results of the Tournament Organizing Committee, there is a difference in the age of B.V.B players participating in the National U11 Football Tournament Nestle Milo Cup 2024.
The documents provided about the case of the B.V.B player of the SLNA U11 team show that there was age fraud. Specifically: the date of birth of February 8, 2010, not February 8, 2013, is well-founded and has been verified.
Primary school records and demographic records kept at the Hong Linh Town Police Department's residence archives, Ha Tinh province, show that B.V.B, a member of the SLNA U11 team, was born on February 8, 2010, not February 8, 2013 as stated in the registration documents for the tournament.
Based on the tournament regulations, VFF has decided to keep the disciplinary decisions against the U11 SLNA team.
Previously, on September 9, 2024, the VFF Disciplinary Board issued Decision No. 624, deciding to discipline the SLNA U11 football team and the Head of Delegation and Head Coach of this team for registering and using players of the wrong age in the 2024 National U11 Football Tournament.
Fined 10 million VND and banned SLNA U11 team from participating in football tournaments organized by VFF for 2 years due to registering and using players of incorrect age; seriously violating the regulations of the 2024 National U11 Football Tournament.
In addition, VFF also revoked the title, cup, flag, medal and bonus of SLNA team at the 2024 National U11 Football Tournament.
In addition, the VFF Disciplinary Board also issued disciplinary decision No. 625: Banning Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Head of the SLNA U11 team - from participating in football tournaments managed and organized by VFF for a period of 2 years due to registering and using players of incorrect age; seriously violating the regulations of the 2024 National U11 Football Tournament.
In addition, Disciplinary Decision No. 626: Banning Mr. Nguyen Quang Tho - head coach of SLNA U11 team - from participating in football tournaments managed and organized by VFF for a period of 2 years due to registering and using players of incorrect age; seriously violating the regulations of the 2024 National U11 Football Tournament.
Previously, at the 2024 National U11 Football Tournament, the SLNA U11 team won the championship after defeating the Bac Ninh U11 team in the final match.
However, during the tournament, a lot of information about U11 SLNA players cheating on their age caused a stir in public opinion.
Some sources reflect that player B.V.B of the Nghe An team was 12 years old when he participated in the national U9 championship and won the championship in 2022. In the national U11 tournament 2024, player B.V.B continued to participate and was said to be 14 years old (born in 2010).
After VFF issued the disciplinary decisions, SLNA Team and Mr. Tran Quang Dung and Mr. Nguyen Quang Tho complained and requested to cancel the disciplinary decisions because they were not at fault.
