According to Lao Dong, FPT Play has officially owned the broadcasting rights of the 33rd SEA Games - the Southeast Asian Sports Festival which will take place in Thailand at the end of 2025.
The 33rd SEA Games will be held from December 9 to December 20, 2025 at three main locations including Bangkok, Chonburi and Songkhla. Immediately after that, ASEAN para Games 13 will take place from January 20 to January 26, 2026 in Nakhon Ratchasima and Bangkok.
FPT Play's copyright ownership gives Vietnamese fans the opportunity to fully follow the competition journey of their country's athletes.

Previously, the Vietnam Olympic Committee confirmed that 5 domestic units had sent an official dispatch to negotiate with the Thai side to buy the copyright of the 33rd SEA Games, expressing their determination to bring the tournament to the Vietnamese audience.
Different from the tradition of sharing free signals, the 33rd SEA Games and Southeast Asia have entered the stage of commercializing television rights to offset the cost of organization and increase professionalism.

In the previous session, Cambodia had planned to sell the rights to watch the 32nd SEA Games, but the organizing committee later decided to release the rights before the opening so that countries in the region can easily access and spread the spirit of Southeast Asian sports.
Returning to the 33rd SEA Games, Thailand's 6 major TV stations including One31, Thairath TV Channel 32, Channel 3, Amarin TV, NBT and T-Sport 7 have also confirmed their broadcast of the largest sporting event in the region.
