Vietnamese jujitsu martial artists temporarily top the medal standings at the 2026 World Championships

Vietnamese martial artists have temporarily risen to the top of the medal standings of the 2026 World Jujitsu Contact Championship.

The 2026 World Jujitsu Contact Tournament will compete on the last day today (May 17) in Turkey before closing.

The coaching staff of the Vietnamese Jujitsu Team shared that as of the end of May 16, the Vietnamese martial artist has temporarily won 12 gold medals. The result helps us maintain the No. 1 position in the rankings.

In the latest finals, the Vietnamese jujitsu team has achieved more encouraging achievements. In which, martial artist Phung Thi Hue won and won a gold medal in the women's 45kg contact HIF category. In addition, martial artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc won a gold medal in the over 70kg contact HIF category, Hoang Thi Nhat Que won the over 70kg contact HIF category championship...

In the events for young people, the Vietnamese jujitsu team had martial artist Nguyen Thuy Duyen win a gold medal in the 63kg women's U18 contact HIF category.

This year's tournament attracts many leading fighters to compete in contact and HIF contact techniques of jujitsu.

The Vietnamese jujitsu team has registered 10 athletes to participate.

In the temporary medal standings, Kazakhstan team ranked second after Vietnam, temporarily winning 8 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 16 bronze medals.

At the end of the tournament, the Vietnamese jujitsu team will return home to continue professional preparation towards the ASIAD 20 arena in September this year in Japan.
