On the afternoon of November 26, VTV Binh Dien Long An women's volleyball club celebrated its 20th anniversary. The event took place not long after the team won the 2024 national championship, with the spectacular return of middle blocker Ngoc Hoa.
VTV Binh Dien Long An, formerly known as Long An Textile, is one of the most successful volleyball teams in Vietnam. After the team was transferred to a management company in 2004, the team developed strongly. In 2007, the team officially received information sponsorship from Vietnam Television (VTV) and officially changed its name to VTV Binh Dien Long An.
After 20 years of development, VTV Binh Dien Long An has achieved many achievements with 5 national championships (2009, 2011, 2017, 2018 and 2024); 6 times winning the Hung Vuong Cup, 3 times winning the Hoa Lu Cup, 2 times winning the VTV Cup International Women's Volleyball Tournament...
From the very beginning, the team's leadership has always created conditions for the best athletes to compete abroad, such as Ngoc Hoa, Kim Lien, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy... With this support, the athletes have developed professionally, contributing to the achievements of the team in particular and Vietnamese volleyball in general.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary, the team's management also signed a cooperation contract with the PFU Bluecats club (Japan). This is the team that Tran Thi Thanh Thuy played for a while. The cooperation between the two sides opens up many opportunities for training, coaching, and improving the professional qualifications of VTV Binh Dien Long An athletes.
