Key shooters of the Vietnam Shooting Team arrived in Bangkok (Thailand) on the afternoon of December 9, ready to compete in the 33rd SEA Games. The participants to Thailand for this trip include the Pistol group, including Trinh Thu Vinh.
The Vietnamese shooting team travels to Thailand according to the schedule for each event. On December 8 before that, a group of shooters flew to Thailand. Meanwhile, shooters have been training in Thailand for guns recently, so they only move to a hotel arranged by the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee.
Shooter Trinh Thu Vinh is an important member of the pistol team, having been trained in Korea before going to Thailand to compete in the 33rd SEA Games. She has never won a gold medal at the SEA Games. Therefore, Trinh Thu Vinh's goal is to strive for the best results at the 33rd SEA Games. In Thailand this year, Trinh Thu Vinh will focus on her skills at shooting 10m female air gun throwing. The contents of her registration will be announced at the technical meeting.
Representatives of the Vietnam Shooting Team will hold a technical meeting on December 10 before the shooters officially compete at the Congress.
The 33rd SEA Games Shooting School belongs to the Huamark Sports Complex of Thai sports. The competition area is equipped with electronic shoots that meet standards and meet international regulations.
The 2025 Southeast Asian Shooting Championship was held here in October 2025. The Vietnam shooting team set a target of winning 7 gold medals in the categories of rifle, gun and flying disc shooting. The shooting event will compete from December 11.
