The highlight of the semi-final night of this event is the 5 pairs of Cobra (55kg), Golden Rooster (57kg), Eagle (59kg), Black Panther (63kg) and Tiger (68kg).
The first match in the Cobra (55kg) category was between Pham Ngoc Canh of Lien Phong Gym and young fighter Le Huy Hoang from PFC Phu Quoc. Entering the match, Pham Ngoc Canh, with his precise strikes and high-damage grappling moves, quickly created a good position for himself, putting his junior Le Huy Hoang in a passive position and always having to find a way to neutralize him.
In the second round, although Huy Hoang was more active in his attacks, he still encountered a clever and calculating Ngoc Canh. The situation in this round was somewhat similar to the first round when Ngoc Canh successfully responded with effective counter-grappling moves, forcing Huy Hoang back into a chasing and tug-of-war situation. The greatest success of the PFC Phu Quoc fighter at this time was probably in the final seconds of the second round with quite sharp counter-attack efforts in the ground battle.
In the final round, although Huy Hoang's side had a little more improvement in changing tactics and approaching the match, in the end, with more experience and courage, he brought the final victory to Pham Ngoc Canh as well as Lien Phong Martial Arts School, a ticket to the final match of the Vietnam Martial Arts Tournament.
However, that victory was not complete, because in the Eagle (59kg) category, Pham Ngoc Canh's remaining teammate, Tran Minh Nhut, lost to boxer Mui Trong Vinh of No.1 Muay Club, led by coach Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.

It is worth mentioning that the tug-of-war that these two fighters created under the applause of the audience at GMA Arena was always maintained throughout the 3 rounds. In the end, with the iron will and smart tactics of the young fighter Mui Trong Vinh, he overcame Tran Minh Nhut in an arrogant and convincing manner. Winning this important match will certainly help Mui Trong Vinh's name fly higher in the Vietnamese MMA community.
In the Tiger (68kg) category, Nguyen Trung Hai, with his continuous punches, quickly extinguished Vu Hai's dream of advancing after 3 minutes of the first round; the Golden Rooster (57kg) category also had a similar scenario when Luu Duc Manh of the No.1 Muay club took advantage of his standing fighting ability to knock out Tran Kiet from PFC Phu Quoc when the clock had just entered the 2nd minute; the Black Panther (63kg) category, Nguyen Tien Long also excelled in overcoming "planer" Le Thanh Trung with kicks to the abdomen as heavy as sledgehammers.
Previously, the 3 undercard matches also recorded worthy victories for participating fighters such as Dang Hoang Minh (Tank Club), Ro Mah Chung (No.1 Muay Club) and Vo Minh Thuong (Sanda Binh Duong).
After the semi-final night, the organizing committee of Than Vo Viet Nam has found 5 excellent names to participate in the final round. Specifically, in the Cobra category (55kg), there will be a "fratricidal" match between two martial artists from Lien Phong martial arts school, Pham Ngoc Canh and Nguyen Hoang Thach. In the Golden Rooster category (57kg), there will be a pair of Luu Duc Manh (No.1 Muay) and Bui Truong Sinh (Lien Phong martial arts school).
The Eagle (59kg) division will be between Mui Trong Vinh (No.1 Muay) and Tran Trong Kim (PFC Phu Quoc). The Black Panther (63kg) division will be between Nguyen Tien Long (Raptor MMA) and Nguyen Vu Phuong Hoai (Lien Phong Martial Arts School). And the Tiger (68kg) division will be between Nguyen Trung Hai (The Eagle Fight Team) and Ha The Anh (Raptor MMA).
As planned, the final round of Gods Of Martial Arts (GMA) - Than Vo Vietnam will take place on December 7, 2024 at The Grand Ho Tram and the martial artists will have just over a month to recover their physical strength as well as return to training to prepare for this event.
This is also the highest challenge for the participating boxers as the title matches will apply the rules of 5 rounds of 5 minutes - instead of 3 rounds of 5 minutes like the previous quarter-finals and semi-finals.
