Today (October 4), the Ministry of Finance has publicly disclosed details of the allocation and use of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund by petroleum traders in the second quarter of 2024.
The Fund's ending balance is VND 6,061 billion, down about VND 594 billion compared to the number recorded on December 31, 2023, the Price Stabilization Fund balance is VND 6,655.36 billion.
According to statistics for this period, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund at the beginning of the period was 6,079.48 billion VND. During the period, the amount of provisions for the Price Stabilization Fund was 29.25 billion; the total amount of money spent using the Price Stabilization Fund during the period was 9.7 billion; the interest arising from the positive balance of the Price Stabilization Fund was over 3.2 billion VND; the interest arising from the negative balance of the Price Stabilization Fund was 5.9 billion VND.
In the latest announcement, the unit with the highest balance of the Price Stabilization Fund is the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), reaching 3,078.6 billion VND. Followed by Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company, reaching 467.2 billion VND.
With a closing balance of VND 460 billion, Dong Thap Petroleum Trading Joint Stock Company is in third place in the list of units with the highest Price Stabilization balance in the second quarter of 2024. The three positions with the highest closing balance also show that the units achieved the highest profits.
Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) is also one of the units with the largest total amount of BOG Fund provision in the period (VND 3,502.5 billion). With more than VND 25,000 billion, Southwest Petroleum Company S.W.P is the unit with the highest total amount of BOG Fund provision in the period, nearly 37 times higher than Giang Nam Petroleum Company (VND 678.2 billion).

Ho Chi Minh City Petroleum Company Limited achieved 328 billion VND.
Military Petroleum Corporation - LLC achieved 299.7 billion VND.
Thanh Le Import Export Trading Corporation achieved 390.4 billion VND.
Hoa Khanh General Trading and Service Company Limited achieved 164.7 billion VND.
Duong Dong Group Joint Stock Company achieved 182 billion VND.
