Regularly checking bad debt helps customers clearly understand the total remaining debt and personal financial status. Thereby, users can plan to repay debt on time, reduce the risk of being fined or affecting the ability to borrow money in the future.
In addition to going to the bank counter to request a page check or the website cic.gov.vn, customers can also look up their bad debt history online via the CIC application on their phone.
To make a verification request, the user needs to perform the following steps:
Step 1: Download the CIC credit connect application - Connect loan needs on CH Play or iCIC NATIONAL CREDIT INFORMATION CENTRE OF VIETNAM on the App Store.
Step 2: Select “Login” if you already have an account or “Register” if you do not have an account. During the registration process, customers will be asked to enter personal information such as ID card number, phone number, password, then proceed to verify the account, scan NFC, take a photo of both sides of the ID card and identify the face.
Step 3: After completing the above steps, users please wait a few days for CIC to check and approve, the waiting time can last from 1 - 3 days, not including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. CIC will notify customers via text message.
Once the information has been confirmed, customers log in to the application and save bad debt history by following these steps:
Select “Report Mining” or “CIC Check” and “Report Mining Authentication” using one of the following methods: Password/Fingerprint/Face ID.

Next, select “Individual credit report” to check personal bad debt. Each customer will have 1 free access to look up in the first year, the second time the customer will have to pay 20,000 VND/report.
Click "Agree" to proceed with the test.

The system confirms and will send an OTP code to the customer's registered phone number, please wait and enter the OTP code.

Once verified, the report will be sent to the customer's account. Click on the most recent report to view the credit report.

The report form will be displayed as shown on the right. In addition, customers can also review the reports they have looked up from previous years.
In the credit report, customers should pay attention to the section on Debt History Information and Bad Debt to see if they have been recorded as bad debt and have a reasonable debt repayment plan.
