Gasoline and oil price forecast in tomorrow afternoon's operating session 12. 2

Thạch Lam |

Forecast of gasoline and oil prices tomorrow, February 12, may increase by 0.2-3.6% compared to the previous operating period, if no provision or use of the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund is made.

According to a survey at 5:45 AM on February 11, world oil prices fluctuated in opposite directions. WTI crude oil price decreased by 0.16 USD/barrel (down 0.25%), to 64.20 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.04 USD/barrel (up 0.06%), to 69.06 USD/barrel.

In the price adjustment period last week, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world gasoline and oil market in the operating period (from January 29, 2026 - February 4, 2026) was affected by key factors such as: OPEC+ maintaining oil production in March; USD appreciation, tensions between the United States and Iran, US oil inventories falling more sharply than forecast; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine still continuing... The above factors caused world gasoline and oil prices in recent days to fluctuate upwards and downwards depending on each item.

For domestic gasoline and oil, VPI's Machine Learning application gasoline and oil price forecasting model shows that in the operating period on February 12, retail gasoline and oil prices may continue to increase slightly by 0.2-3.6% compared to the previous operating period, if the Inter-Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade does not make or use the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund.

According to Mr. Doan Tien Quyet, data analysis expert of VPI, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 100 VND (0.5%) to 18,430 VND/liter and RON 95-III gasoline increased by 40 VND (0.2%) to 18,880 VND/liter.

VPI's model forecasts that in this period, the price of kerosene may increase by 220 VND (1.2%) to 18,390 VND/liter, the price of diesel oil may increase by 280 VND (1.5%) to 18,450 VND/liter, while mazut oil is forecast to increase sharply by 520 VND (3.6%) to 15,150 VND/kg. VPI forecasts that the Inter-Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in this period will continue not to deduct or use the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund.

A representative of a gasoline and oil business said that it will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is forecast that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase. In which, it is forecast that RON 95-III gasoline will increase by about 310 VND/liter; E5 RON 92-II gasoline will increase by about 300 VND/liter; Diesel oil will decrease by about 60 VND/liter.

In the adjustment session last week on February 5, 2026, gasoline prices simultaneously increased. In which, E5 RON 92 gasoline is priced at 18,439 VND/liter (up 100 VND/liter). RON 95-III gasoline is priced at 18,880 VND/liter (up 35 VND/liter).

Prices of oil items simultaneously increased. Diesel oil 0.05S is priced at 18,453 VND/liter (up 280 VND/liter); kerosene has a new price of 18,390 VND/liter (up 214 VND/liter); mazut oil 180CST 3.5S is priced at 15,150 VND/kg (up 517 VND/kg).
