According to a survey at 2:18 p.m. on July 20 (Vietnam time), WTI oil prices decreased by 0.20 USD/barrel (down 0.30%) to 67.34 USD/barrel. Brent oil price decreased by 0.24 USD/barrel (down 0.35%), down to 69.28 USD/barrel.
Analysts said that crude oil prices decreased slightly due to supply concerns after the European Union announced a new package of sanctions against Russia related to the conflict in Ukraine. The measure could disrupt oil exports from Russia - one of the major suppliers in the global market.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world petroleum market this time (from July 10, 2025 to July 16, 2025) is affected by main factors such as: US crude oil inventories decreased, while distillate inventories increased; OPEC+ forecasts oil demand to continue to increase in the third quarter; information on the new US import tax policy on goods of trading partners; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues...
The above factors have caused world oil prices in recent days to fluctuate up and down depending on each commodity.
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price management period, retail prices of gasoline may have opposite adjustments in the direction of decreasing gasoline prices and slightly increasing oil prices.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 100 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 90 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 30 VND/liter.
Domestic retail gasoline prices on July 20, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on July 17 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In today's adjustment session (September 17), the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND 19,481/liter (down VND 178/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price decreased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19,59/liter (down VND165/liter).
Prices of oil products fluctuated in different directions. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND18,799/liter (down VND38/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND18,429/liter (up VND58/liter); mazut is priced at VND15,478/kg (down VND85/kg).
