Domestic pepper prices: Continue to decrease
As of 11:30 today (September 13), domestic pepper prices are trading in the range of 137,000 - 140,000 VND/kg, down to 2,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai province decreased by VND 2,000/kg compared to the closing price of last week (September 13), currently anchored at VND 137,000/kg.
Similarly, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City decreased by VND 1,000/kg, reaching VND 139,000/kg. With a decrease of 2,000 VND/kg lower than last week, Dak Lak buys pepper at 140,000 VND.
Meanwhile, Lam Dong province remains unchanged at 140,000 VND/kg.

World pepper prices: Sharp decrease, high price threshold is lost
According to data from the International Pepper Company (IPC), Vietnam's pepper export prices remained stable last week, while pepper prices from other countries generally decreased.
At the end of the week, the price of Indonesian black pepper was listed at 7,216 USD/ton, down 177 USD/ton compared to last week. In the same direction, the price of Indonesian white pepper decreased sharply by 119 USD/ton compared to last week, down to 10,058 USD/ton.
Meanwhile, Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper fell to $450/ton, holding at $5,800/ton.
On the other hand, ASTA Malaysia black and white pepper prices remained unchanged, standing at 8,900 USD/ton and 11,750 USD/ton, respectively.
In the same direction, Vietnam's black pepper export price has been unchanged last week, ranging from 6,440 - 6,570 USD/ton for black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l.
In particular, the export price of white pepper from Vietnam increased by 200 USD/ton, anchored at 9,150 USD/ton.
