Assessment and forecast
Pepper prices at the end of November continued the price increase trend, many domestic production regions have set a new mark of 150,000 - 151,000 VND/kg. According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), Vietnam is a bright spot when domestic and export prices have improved well.
Exporters said demand from the US, Europe and the Middle East is recovering slightly in December. However, the new service expected to launch on the market from the beginning of the first quarter of 2026 could create downward pressure if supply increases again.
The Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA) believes that the application tax exemption policy helps Vietnamese enterprises have a large position in the US, especially when the import costs of distributors have decreased significantly. This is an important factor to expand the contract and strengthen market share in 2026.
