Assessment and forecast
The recovery of supply in major pepper producing countries and changing consumption demand have put domestic pepper prices under pressure to decrease in the short term.
According to statistics in April 2025, domestic pepper prices decreased by about 4,000 - 5,000 VND/kg due to the impact of US tariff policies. However, the current price is still 57 - 59% higher (equivalent to 56,500 - 58,000 VND/kg) compared to the same period last year.
Experts say that in the coming time, pepper prices are expected to continue to remain high due to stable supply and demand in major markets such as the US or EU.
