Retail gasoline prices at Petrolimex
Retail gasoline and oil prices today, August 6th, at the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) system remain stable according to the adjustment effective from 30.7 at 3:00 PM by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance and maintained until the next gasoline and oil price adjustment period.
According to the latest price list, E10 RON 95-V bio-gasoline is listed by Petrolimex at 24,250 VND/liter in region 1 and 24,730 VND/liter in region 2. E10 RON 95-III bio-gasoline is priced at 22,850 VND/liter in region 1 and 23,300 VND/liter in region 2.
For E5 RON 92-II bio-gasoline, the current selling price is 22,380 VND/liter in region 1 and 22,820 VND/liter in region 2, continuing to be the item with the lowest price in the gasoline group at the Petrolimex system.
In the oil group, 0.001S-V diesel oil is sold at 29,720 VND/liter in region 1 and 30,310 VND/liter in region 2. 0.05S-II diesel oil is priced at 27,620 VND/liter in region 1 and 28,170 VND/liter in region 2.
In addition, kerosene 2-K is listed at 27,400 VND/liter in region 1 and 27,940 VND/liter in region 2. For the mazut oil group, mazut oil N02B (3.5S) is priced at 16,470 VND/kg in region 1 and 16,790 VND/kg in region 2; mazut oil 180cst - 0.5S (RMG) is sold at 21,470 VND/kg in region 1 and 21,890 VND/kg in region 2.
Compared to the operating period effective from 3 pm on July 23, retail prices of gasoline and oil items at Petrolimex continued to be adjusted upwards. E10 RON 95-V bio-gasoline increased by 1,420 VND/liter, E10 RON 95-III bio-gasoline increased by 1,420 VND/liter and E5 RON 92-II bio-gasoline increased by 1,500 VND/liter.
In the oil group, 0.001S-V diesel oil increased by 1,860 VND/liter, 0.05S-II diesel oil increased by 1,860 VND/liter, 2-K kerosene increased by 750 VND/liter. For the mazut oil group, mazut oil N02B (3.5S) increased by 910 VND/kg and mazut oil 180cst - 0.5S (RMG) increased by 1,110 VND/kg.
According to Petrolimex's regulations, region 1 applies in areas near ports, wholesale warehouses or petroleum production facilities; region 2 applies in areas far from ports, far from wholesale warehouses and far from production facilities. In these areas, directors of member petroleum companies are allowed to decide the actual selling price but not exceeding the region 2 price announced by Petrolimex.
The above retail price is applied at the entire Petrolimex gas station system, agents, general agents and retailers nationwide until the next gasoline and oil price adjustment period of the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance. The adjustment is made based on the developments of finished gasoline and oil prices in the world market and current regulations on gasoline and oil price management.
Ensuring long-term supply
From June 1, 2026, Vietnam officially deploys mass sales of E10 bio-gasoline nationwide to replace traditional RON95 mineral gasoline, and continues to maintain parallel sales of E5 gasoline.
The supply of E10 gasoline is being focused on by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to remove obstacles related to ethanol (E100) raw materials to maintain stability after mandatory application nationwide.
According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry has just worked with ethanol (E100) production plants in the Central region to grasp the current supply situation, remove difficulties for businesses and build solutions to ensure energy security in the direction of Green transformation.
At the working session, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan affirmed that the introduction of E10 bio-gasoline into use is a major policy of the Party and State, realizing Resolution 55-NQ/TW dated February 11, 2020 and Resolution 70-NQ/TW dated August 20, 2025 of the Politburo on ensuring national energy security, along with decisions and directions of the Government. This policy contributes to ensuring energy security, using energy economically, efficiently and protecting the environment.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan emphasized that for the market to develop sustainably, units need to proactively review capacity, build a stable E100 supply chain from raw material areas, production, logistics to consumption. Strengthening links between factories, business focal points, mixing units and localities is mandatory to ensure long-term supply.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said it will continue to play the role of focal point, coordinating with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology and relevant ministries and sectors to research and improve mechanisms and policies for developing biofuels in a synchronous, transparent, and practical direction.
