When the noise spread on social networks about sick pork samples at a processing slaughterhouse for CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company has not subsided, recorded on June 2 and 3, at some stores and supermarkets in Can Tho City, the consumption of meat products of CP Vietnam has shown quite the opposite.
At retail stores, CP Vietnam's pork seems to still maintain its position. The stalls are full of products, from lean meat, pork belly to ground meat, and consumers still have the normal choice.

Meanwhile, at supermarkets, CP's pork products are gradually disappearing, only items such as chicken and sausages are still maintained for sale with many attractive promotions and discounts.

Some consumers also expressed concern about the stirring information about the quality of CP Vietnam's meat products. Ms. Le Thi Tuyen (Can Tho City) expressed her hope that state agencies will soon clarify the dirty meat issue so that people can shop with peace of mind and choose food safety products.
Ms. Pham Thi Nghi (a trader at Tan An market, Can Tho city) said that it is necessary to review livestock facilities so that people can shop with peace of mind. "Today, this rumor spreads, tomorrow another rumor spreads, causing people to panic, and my business is also sluggish," said Ms. Nghi.
As reported by Lao Dong, on the morning of May 30, a social media account posted an article saying that he used to work at a meat distribution store in My Xuyen district (Soc Trang province). This person accused the store and some leaders of bringing the meat to the market with poor quality.
The poster informed that the above behavior will seriously affect public health and hoped that the authorities would investigate and strictly handle if violations were discovered.
C.P Vietnam is one of the large livestock enterprises in Vietnam, playing an important role in the meat supply chain.
